市原ひかりは、1982年12月22日生まれの日本の女性ジャズ・トランペット、フリューゲルホルン奏者です。東京都武蔵野市出身。成蹊小学校、成蹊中学校・高等学校（2001年高校卒業）を経て、洗足学園音楽大学を2005年3月首席で卒業。
トランペットとの出会いは中学校の吹奏楽部。その後、進学した洗足学園音楽大学のジャズ・コースでジャズ・トランペットの基礎を学び、ジャズトランペッター原朋直に師事。2005年、ポニーキャニオンよりデビューアルバム『一番の幸せ』をリリース。以降、同社より8枚のリーダーアルバムをリリース。2019年には初のボーカルアルバム『Sings & Plays』をリリース。
市原ひかりの演奏は、明るく華やかな音色と、ソロやアンサンブルでの表現力豊かなプレイが特徴です。彼女はジャズだけでなく、ポップスやクラシックなどのジャンルにも積極的に取り組んでおり、幅広い層のリスナーから支持されています。
Hikari Ichihara is a Japanese female jazz trumpeter and flugelhorn player born on December 22, 1982. She was born in Musashino City, Tokyo. After attending Seikei Elementary School, Seikei Junior and Senior High School (graduated from high school in 2001), she graduated from Senzoku Gakuen College of Music in March 2005 with honors.
He first encountered the trumpet in his junior high school brass band. He then went on to Senzoku Gakuen College of Music, where he studied jazz trumpet and learned the basics of jazz trumpet under jazz trumpeter Tomonao Hara. In 2005, he released his debut album, “Ichiban no Shiawase,” from Pony Canyon. Since then, he has released eight albums as a leader from the same company. In 2019, he released his first vocal album, “Sings & Plays.”
Hikari Ichihara’s playing is characterized by her bright and gorgeous tone and her expressive playing in solo and ensemble. She is not only active in jazz, but also pop and classical music, and is supported by a wide range of listeners.
