“SADAO WATANABE 渡辺貞夫 BOP NIGHT 2021” BLUE NOTE TOKYO Live 2021

2021年10月8日から10月10日にかけて、ジャズ・サックス奏者の渡辺貞夫が東京・南青山のブルーノート東京で「BOP NIGHT 2021」を開催しました。

この公演は、渡辺さんの音楽生活70周年を記念した特別なもので、レギュラーバンドに加え、トロンボーンの村田陽一、トランペットの西村浩二と奥村晶、テナーサックスの小池修という日本を代表するホーン・プレイヤーを迎えた豪華な編成で行われました。セットリストは、オリジナル曲を中心に、スウィング感あふれる4ビート・チューンから美しいホーンのハーモニーに包まれたバラードまで、バラエティに富んだ内容でした。

この特別な公演は、渡辺貞夫さんの長年のキャリアとジャズへの情熱を感じさせる素晴らしいステージとなりました。

From October 8th to October 10th, 2021, jazz saxophonist Sadao Watanabe held “BOP NIGHT 2021” at Blue Note Tokyo in Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo.

This special concert was held to commemorate the 70th anniversary of Watanabe’s musical career, and was performed with a luxurious lineup that included some of Japan’s leading horn players, including trombonist Yoichi Murata, trumpeters Koji Nishimura and Akira Okumura, and tenor saxophonist Osamu Koike, in addition to the regular band. The set list was rich in variety, centering on original songs, ranging from swinging four-beat tunes to ballads wrapped in beautiful horn harmonies.

This special performance was a wonderful showcase of Sadao Watanabe’s long career and passion for jazz.
